Description
’68 GTX project car. Originally equipped with 440/375 HP Super Commando Engine, 727 automatic with floor shift and console. Factory power windows, air conditioning and power disc brakes. Was also equipped with 8 track radio w/3 speaker dash, 3 speed wipers, and factory bumper guards.
Original color is Code MM1 “Turbine Bronze” metallic and is very rare, also had black bucket interior and WHITE vinyl top! Car is originally from Eastern WA and needs full restoration, but will be a beautiful, valuable car once done. Has several dents and dings, but very little rust, mostly in the driver quarter panel. A new AMD quarter panel is included. Floors, frame rails, window openings, etc. are all very solid.
Comes with 2 440 engines, 727 trans, 26″ radiator. I have most of the parts for this car other than the new parts normally replaced during restoration.

I’ve had lots of questions, so here is more info:
This car is a real 68 GTX, not a clone or tribute. The fender tag has never been removed from the car. 1968 fender tags are coded totally different from 1969 and later tags. The complete VIN is not listed as on 69 and later models. Let me clarify.
The RS23 at bottom left is GTX hardtop. The number after that is 83, 440 4 bbl Hi-Performance engine, then 5, 3 speed auto trans. Then comes 44 which is F70x14 Redline tires. Next is B27 which is the production date of November 27th. last is the order number, which matches the radiator support stamping.
The car comes with 2 440 engines, a complete ’69 440 and a correct ’68 440 HP block.
